That is terrible! What is the matter with them? He was your father too. That's hateful!

HUGZ - So sorry to hear this news. First I am very sorry for your loss, I cannot imagine the range of emotions you are going through. Sorry you didn't get the opportunity to say a proper goodbye to your dad. I learned that hard way in 2012 that my immediate family is also weird - cannot count of them for anything. I dread the day my dad passes, because I know my 2 older bros are coming to fight for my dad's house (where I still live). My dad refuses to write a will or change the deed to my name, so I will be homeless once his time comes : (

Thank you for your condolences. It's true that I've been going through some heavy emotions. Even though everyone knows that death is "natural" it doesn't feel that way. I did visit my Dad on Thursday evening (the 13th) and he passed away on Friday Morning. My sister and brother were both there, but I wasn't called or even aware of what happened till Sunday. When I last visited my Dad he was asleep, except for a moment when he looked up and straight at me. I don't know if he recognized me or not. That was my goodbye, even though I wasn't aware of it at that time. I did say "I love you" to his sleeping face, just before leaving him.

Your father not wanting to make a will is worrying. The fact that you live there should count in your favor if things go to court. I wish you all the best. I also have concerns about becoming homeless.
