Well, well. The hotel had definitely managed to piss him off enough times. Axel had been such a damn grump ever since he got here. Nothing had gone his way, and the last few days had definitely been too wet for his tastes.

And today, he found himself physically altered in a frustrating way. He was pissed for the first little while after he'd woken up and found his assets shrunk - but it wore off. It didn't matter; the hotel had reversed everything else so far, and he was sure it would do the same. A day like this would be just fine; it's not like it would affect anything.

No. Axel was actually in a rather good mood this day. The water was gone, everything was dry, and the most frustrating thing was easy enough for him to ignore. Not to mention, one of the few people in this hotel that Axel actually liked was probably waiting for him in the lobby ( ... )

"Hey!" Gino replied as Axel approached, lifting one hand up in a wave, then placing it back down on his hip, leaning forward as was his habit considering his height advantage over most (if not all) of the people he'd ever met. Since it seemed to annoy people, he would bow toward people, though this distinct closeness also seemed to get on people's nerves. Poor guy could just never win.

"Looking good today!" he commented, wondering if perhaps he'd overdone it in his casual attire: a sleeveless blue jacket, white vest with ruffles down the front, a red sash, black pants, white boots. And orange shades atop his head, of course. He'd always thought it was stylish, but no other commoners seemed to dress like he did, which made him wonder...

And then it dawned on him that, true to typical male behavior, he hadn't come up with any plan on what the two of them were supposed to do that day. He paused to try and think quickly about this while Axel was responding, though his train of thought was quickly broken by an abrupt irritated snarl ( ... )

Cheery people, Axel thought to himself and mentally rolled his eyes. But on the outside, he kept his cool and displayed his usual expression and a vague smile. He might as well be nice, for once. Gino was likable enough, and if Axel could tolerate someone he might as well attempt to be 'friends.' Or, at least, make the person in question believe them to be buddies.

He stopped a few feet away from the tall man, and tall he was. Axel was on the taller side as well. But Gino? Dang, he towered. But it didn't phase the redhead. While he was taller than most, he still had a few people taller than him; the Superior, for one, and Axel saw him nearly every day ( ... )

"Oh this?" the blonde asked, looking from Axel back to Lulubell, grinning. "This is my pet of the day! He's a velociraptor named Lulubell. See, like, I woke up handcuffed to my bed, and there he was just... eating me."

Maybe it was his imagination, but Gino could've sworn that dinosaur looked smug right then. Ignoring that, he continued his story.

"But for some reason, the hotel is making us regenerate when we get hurt, so I wasn't dying even after he... y'know tore appendages off and stuff. So I got free of my handcuffs and beat him up, then tied his mouth shut like that-"

A pause while he motioned to the chains around Lulubell's jaws, wrapped around his neck to serve as reigns,

"And then made him my steed!"
