[Just. Snorts. Then, in a voice that is much higher in pitch than usual:]

Happy White Day, indeed.

[Kind of recognizes that voice, even if it sounds very squeaky. Or at least he thinks it's you. He'd check but since he can't exactly see at the moment, that's not really an option.]

Lelouch? That... it is you, right?

Is your voice naturally high pitched like that?

Reply

dividerbyzero March 14 2009, 14:32:01 UTC
Does it offend you?

karnevallistic March 14 2009, 14:37:23 UTC
I didn't say it did.

And thus the reason for my inquiry. [Yawns quietly.]

No, my voice is not usually this high-pitched.

The White Day?

Ah. An annual consumer-based holiday recognized in Japan one month after St. Valentine's Day. On Valentine's Day women are encouraged to confess their feelings of love or affection to the object of their desire and to present them with gifts. Chocolate, candy, and the like. Men are expected to do the same on White Day. It is typical of those who received something on Valentine's Day to reciprocate.

Ah. As in exchange, I see.

We did celebrate the Valentine's back in our Kingdom but not this 'White Day.'

The celebration itself is entirely unique to the region of Nippon-koku. It began, in my world, a few decades ago with the National Confectionery Industry Association.

Excuse me. . . miss?

An individual of the male persuasion, actually.
