Inhabitants of Toujours Hotel.
My name is Lelouch Lamperouge. In light of recent events I would ask that you take a moment of your time to respond to this inquiry. No doubt you have heard - either through direct involvment or by word of mouth - of the recent violent attacks that have occured throughout the hotel. Please note that these isolated incidents are not the work of a single person but rather a group of seperate unassociated peoples.
It has become evident that a vast majority of the individuals being kept here are endowed with special abilities of some variety: above average intelligence, the ability to use alchemy, perhaps even cast magic. For those of you who are unawares, the Hotel has also bestowed upon us a gift us in our seemingly endless imprisonment: immortality. Eternal life. This presents an obvious problem. Can violence, slaughter, or punishment be justified as a means of retribution, regardless of the crime, when our bodies cannot perish? Who will be there to keep the checks and balances, to carry out justice, or to stand up as an ally for the weak -for those who cannot defend themselves?
In a place where judgement is nonexistant and where power runs unchecked, we are respnsible for our actions.
Last night at approximately 9:30 PM, a young girl was brutally murdered in Room 2 on Third Floor. I am reaching out to you all in hopes that you will help me in finding her killer. In order to do this, I ask that everyone relate to me their whereabouts and activies between the hours of 7:00 and 12:00 PM.
