About New Gensokyo

So, I noticed a few people are curious about New Gensokyo, how it works, and what they would find there. There's not a whole lot of information available for everyone else. Considering this I thought it would be good to put together some kind of info post that could be put into GBs information or at least linked back to here or something

I know, but I mean I don't know where that technically is in the entire scheme of things since the whole place is like her garden copied over? I'm honestly not sure what the empty places are like and stuff. I mentioned it separately just to name buildings. and note worthy locations.

Funny story, I'm working on a map of the garden, if that helps? The garden is different than the one in the real Netherworld, since she didn't have much space to work with, but she's continuing to improve it daily, and might just catch up.

But yes, there is Scarlet Devil Large House Mansion substitue there. There isn't much in the way of landscaping yet, but some stuff has been handwaved/planted at least. Last time I checked.

That is something I've been meaning to suggest to the mods :|b So many players have gardens or shops of some sort, but there's not even a basic listing of those places to go. One of those might be nice. I hope this kickstarts something like that.

A big giant player locations directory would be great, especially if it could have links to more detailed information posts that could be updated by the people who run the locations. Hopefully they'll take the suggestion.

Substitute Eientei is up now. If I spelled that right. Jesus, that's so hard to spell. It's also surrounded by an illusionary bamboo forest. THEY'LL GROW SOME REAL ONES ONE DAY.

Poking my head in here, pardon me!

My initial question was as to the overall location of Gensokyo, and I guess... the general layout within? I was kind of wondering what would be visible within/on the way to Kaguya's manor. And how one gets there (on plurk I heard it's a shrine that's a portal to... somewhere that's not quite on the ship? a separate dimension?). All the structures mentioned are within this area and nothing is outside it? I'm sorry for being slow, I'm canon blind and I'm trying to sort out what I do and don't know. Thanks for your patience!

Here's my really bad Paint Map of New Gensokyo which is horribly out of date as it lacks the mountain and Kaguya's mansion. BUT it does give a general layout. I actually have no idea where inside the Eientei is. Since the mountain's pretty much in the middle to the right of the SDM, I suspect Eientei is somewhere in the upper left corner where the open space is.

...I hope that helps with as outdated and crappy as that Paint map is.
