I would be more psyched about XF2 if
1) It wasn't a MOTW set in Season 7. I'm more interested in knowing what happened to them after the hotel scene. Although it will be awesome seeing the LGM again. I was sooo pissed when they were killed off.
2)I wasn't the only one in my circle of friends/family more than slightly interested.

But that said...Mr. Carter best be aware that if it sucks, heads will roll. I think he knows that it would be reeeeally stupid to piss off the fans who have been loyal even through the shittiness of s9 and the 7 years it's been off the air. We want to remember why we love this show so much, dammit!

indeed! Though...it's not set in S7. Where'd you get that? They've said again and again that it's set in real time, seven years after the end of the series, after Mulder at least has been in hiding for ever.

Oooo! Not set in s7!!! YAY! I heard a Q&A that Dean Haglund gave at a con somewhere where he said that it was going to be a MOTW set Circa s7. But I'm glad to know that I've been misinformed.
