Panic! In My Head.

Apr 17, 2008 19:17

I dislike being so directly reminded of my own excessive ignorance.
And I panic easily nowadays.
Now I'm just exhausted - but I still have schoolwork to do.
Going to get to it.

(But I appreciate the opportunity that was given)

"It's not enough that we do our best; sometimes we have to do what's required."
~Sir Winston Churchill

But yeah, I hear ya. Sometimes just surviving the day is victory enough. I just dislike the feeling that I am appearing foolish and inadequate. I guess no one really likes that. But sometimes its like peeling off a band-aide. You just have to suck it up and lose a few arm hairs.

I took my existential angst (and the brief surge energy provided by a couple of cans of Diet Pepsi and coffee) and used it to fuel enough creativity to produce a book cover design in a few short hours - enough snarkiness went into it to once again make my bleary-eyed professor shake her head in befuddlement and exclaim, "Where the heck do you come up with this stuff?" I consider that a minor victory.

Now I'm curious.

I'd like to talk to you about that soon. I hear you were pretty panicked, and if you would like, I'd like to help, maybe.

Thanks - we should talk sometime when we aren't both going crazy.
