[This is probably the nicest August day they've had so far. It's warm, but there's a cool breeze - and oh yeah, no monsters, Sentinels, or hordes of leprechauns. That's kind of a plus
( Read more... )
Well, that seems kinda silly. Summer's for going camping or fishing! And isn't reading supposed to be school stuff? [At least, that's what Gohan and Chichi have told him - he doesn't really know much about school himself.]
I think I saw some Stephen King novels in the library, good horror there. Otherwise [there's a small series of dots as her pen gets tapped on he paper in thought.]
Always liked the Redwall series by Brian Jacques. Young adult fantasy, but fun and quick. Or Sherlock Holmes, if any of those stories are around.

[Not that Robin's being a creeper or anything, but there might conveniently be a small stack of Edgar Allen Poe works on Rogue's bed when she gets back. Rogue reminds him of Raven in a lot of ways; he's kind of assuming they'll have similar taste in literature.
She really does need to get better locks for her windows though.]

[Locks aren't usually a problem when your house is patrolled by a Wolverine and the residence of the world's best telepath although Certain Thieves would tend to agree with Robin's assessment. Robin's timing is to be commended.
As it is, when Rogue makes it back to her bedroom to dump off her load of books and sees those there - her first response would be yelling for Kurt, since he's the one who usually ignores the 'stay out of my room' ban. But... Rogue sincerely doubted Kurt even knew who Edgar Allen Poe was.
So she'll poke at them cautiously. After all, the last time there had been a mysterious gift, it had been the work of Mesmero and brought Jean under his mind control. But that had been an ugly Jack-In-the-Box and this was Edgar Allen Poe.
Any hint of who delivered them to set her mind at ease?]

[Robin had debated just leaving things to sit there anonymously, if only to avoid all those uncomfortable awkward implications. But he's nothing if not a sucker for a good gimmick; the top book contains a placeholder in the shape of a stylized "T". She's welcome to make of it what she will.]

[Huh.
She picks up the T and stares at it for a long moment, wondering why it's so vaguely familiar...
BB's uniform...
Huh.
Robin? That's... a little creepy. What did this mean? Is it some kind of message, some kind of 'I'm watching you, observing you, I can get to you at any time' thing?
Maybe. But that doesn't feel quite right. BB's psyche has an opinion, but she doesn't want to hear it.
Maybe it's a peace offering.
Well. Fine. She doesn't know what it means. But it's annoying and kind of nice and she's willing to take things as they come.
But she's smiling a little when she sits down and curls up on her bed with The Raven.

VASH POPPING OUT OF THE RIVER!
No really. Out of no where he's pulling himself out of the water with a gasp.]
That... didn't go as well as I hoped.

Not bad, Robin. Not bad.]
