[Shockingly, Valentine's Day is not one of Rogue's favorite holidays. She's opened and closed the journal a half-dozen times already today, taken some comfort from the more cynical posts but at the same time felt oddly... against contributing to them.

But she does have something that she needs to say - and hey, maybe if she says it today it will ( Read more... )

addressing the masses, screw you too malnosso, valentine's day - ha!, 'people looking out for me' huh, !event, being responsible? also sucks, being the oldest sucks

I assume she was a friend of yours? If so, I'm very sorry.

[...she oddly doesn't feel like snapping at him or explaining further. Instead she's... somewhat flustered by his concern?]

...thanks.

[This really isn't the way he should be handling things right now.]

You didn't have anything planned for today, did you?

[...what was this? OK, that excitement is completely inappropriate for the likes of her, so Rogue will just be shoving that back down, even if her response is considerably softer than it normally would be.]

Me? Not likely.

What about you?

She's a good woman. I regret not getting to know her better.

She is a good woman. [She's an X-Man and her teacher and... it's oddly disconcerting not having her here.]

Who are you?

[Tact like a hammer.]

[Like it could bother him. He's about as blunt as a steamroller.]

John Stewart. I had a few conversations with Miss Munroe. I take it you're from her world?

[John Stewart? Rings no bells. If he'd said 'Green Lantern,' she may have had some recognition.

...although it's weird to hear Ororo referred to as 'Miss Monroe' by someone who's not one of the kids at the Institute.]

That's right. We're [...not friends, not 'she's my teacher'] ...on the same team.

Ah - that's all right, Anne.

[It just means that by virtue of being the oldest she's now responsible for keeping all of you safe - and she can barely keep her own head safe sometimes. No big.]

[ anne never quite got to meet the woman -- like two ships passing, she supposes. but her sympathy is genuine enough. ]

I'm sure she will be missed, in the house. You and Kurt seem to be fond of her.

no worries! touchofrogue February 15 2011, 07:18:44 UTC
[Geeze, Anne, you've been in their house for at least a week now and you haven't learned yet that Rogue doesn't do girly emotional talks?]

There was somethin' nice about having her around.

[ friends going home is among the worst of all Luceti occurrences. Never met Ororo, but he has met Rogue and all. ]

If you need anything, just let me know.

...this is startin' ta remind me of a funeral. Offerin' ta bring over a casserole?

[The tone has a light, teasing note to it. It's a little disturbing that she's gone - more than a little in the sense of safety than anything else, but she doesn't feel too shaken by it.]

[ A chuckle. ]

Casserole can get involved a lot when one of your crewmates is a chef. I guess you just never know when someone really will need something after a friend gets sent back.

[That's true - she is shaken that Ororo is gone, but she doesn't miss her yet. In many ways, this part of Luceti still doesn't seem real to Rogue.]

Guess you're used ta makin' that offer a lot then, huh?
