Ok, I admit this gave me a serious happy yesterday. So I showed it to K, and it gave him a happy, too. I know some of you will think I'm nuts, but... I just had to admire that kind of dedication and creativity. Especially for #2.

I'm happy I could spread the happy. :-)

Some of her music I like (mostly her older stuff), some I'm not crazy about (mostly her newer stuff), but I think she's TOTALLY adorable. And while K and I consider "our songs" to be a couple by Marilyn Manson, I have to admit we'd both turn the radio up whenever "Our Song" came on... ;-) He actually requested it one time when we went roller skating together.

Yeah, it was the "The first date man, I didn't kiss her/him and I should have" that got us. We really should have... ;-)

Country pop has just gotten... odd... lately. I hate the direction Sugarland has taken. Zac Brown and Kenny Chesney are going all island music (which I do like), and The Band Perry almost sounds like folk music. And god, I heard Keith Urban one day and mistook him for Richard Marx... *facepalm*

I still love metal, I still love rock, but I started listening to country because I was tired of the anger. I like the happy, I like the songs about living a simple life, I like the sweet love songs. Although honestly VH-1 and MTV originally drove me to CMT by playing nothing but hip-hop, when they'd play music at all... The first country video I saw cracked me up so much I rewound the TiVo and made K come in and watch it, and it went on from there. And the country video stations *gasp* still largely play videos! (Or at least did back when we still had satellite.)
