Let it never be said that Matsumoto Rangiku never does any work. Saying such would be an outright lie. Matsumoto hasn't long to wait before Renji, with a shorter, younger man (unfamiliar to her, but clearly of sixth division) come trotting up to sixth themselves.

There's an odd moment where the two men exchange looks, and it seems as if Renji might almost start laughing, before he catches himself and asks, politely, "Matsumoto-fukutaichou, is there something I can help you with?"

As for the other officer? He's looking at his feet, the gates, anywhere but Matsumoto, his complexion definitely edging somewhere towards red.

Rangiku turns and smiles at the familiar voice, but her attention is drawn to the boy desperately trying to learn to disappear post haste. She can't help but notice Renji's lips restraining themselves from a prominent grin.

Her arms cross under her breasts, pushing them up just slightly. "I get the feeling here, I'm part of some joke. So tell me, Renji, which of you were just talking about my tits, because from the looks of your friend, there he looks like he wants to die." Her fingers tap on her arm while waiting for an answer. However she decides to answer Renji first. "I wanted to know if you needed any help with that problem we were having a while back."

Indeed, at Matsumoto's *enhancement* and mention of the word "tits," Rikichi looks sufficiently mortified that having another Hole open beneath him right that momentwould probably be a relief, despite their recent misadventures.

Renji spares his junior officer a glance, and does the kind thing, "Rikichi, go ahead and report to Kuchiki-taichou. I'll fill in the gaps later." Rikichi gives Renji a very grateful look, manages a mumbled, "Matsumoto-fukutaichou," and partial bow before bolting away through the gates of sixth.

Waiting until he's well out of earshot, Renji turns back to Matsumoto, a slight frown on his face. "Which particular problem, Matsumoto-fukutaichou -- and should we find someplace better to talk?"

"Your office should suffice, Abarai." She smiles softly. The change from her usual casual adress of the man's first name enough to signify that this was not a social call. The woman relaxes and falls into step next to her fellow vice captain. "Your office should suffice. It's a matter of the trouble in Rukongai. Taichou has kept me so busy these last few weeks I haven't had a the time to dedicate to it. I apologize." Again she smiles and looks off toward where the little boy had run off to. "So what was that all about? Did I miss something? I didn't feel my ears burning, nor did I erupt into a fit of sneezing, so if not my breasts whose were you two just discussing?"
