Hehe, now who said it was smooshy related? :P I was there once when I was 9 for my brothers wedding and I LOVED IT! but I was 9 and LA was that place on teevee not any place real. But I'd dearly love to go back some day. It can be awesome!
London. Alone. I've never been, and I want to wander by myself through museums and historic sites, explore Camden, go to Harrods and try not to get kicked out, wander through Hyde Park. Maybe I'd rent a car and take a day trip to Bath to see the costume museum, or just drive around the country side. I'd have an adventure trying to figure out the Tube system, looking like an obvious tourist, but alone.
Sounds fab! I've explored a few places on my own and I kind of like the option of just going anywhere I want, whenever I want, especially in a completely new place. My fave thing to do (though not solo haha) is to get totally lost in a new city and just find spots I never would have found otherwise!
Don't rent a car, just take the train to Bath, it's more efficient, probably cheaper, and they run very regularly. :) (says the girl who lives 15 minutes from bath by train atm :)
renting a car would let me get off the beaten track though. This, of course is a fantasy and depending on me having a surplus of money and time. Were I to do this in reality I'd totally be taking the train :)
Oooh Ireland is so beautiful! I've always wanted to visit as well. I had no idea you had ancestors from there though! That would be exciting to explore your heritage.

I was thinking we should do a Japan trip in 2010! I guess I know how you'd feel about that now haha.
