An unexpectedly quick update.

I received, of course, the obligatory "We have received your email" email, which was no surprise. What WAS a surprise, however, was the fact that I got this one just now ( Read more... )

HAHAHA! I love it! I can't believe they responded. That is really neat. It reminds me of the time I e-mailed the people who make M&Ms and asked for details on how they got the little white "m's" on the candies. *grins* They actually e-mailed me back and told me how it was done! :o

Now I'm disappointed--I zoomed to 200% in the vain hopes of reading the letter accompanying such a lovely letterhead, but imagine my disappointment that it wasn't a real letter. I do have to say that sending a letter filled with Lorem ipsum text might not actually be the very best way in the world to convince someone you're not a crackpot. *tease*

Nice letterhead! :)

HaHAA!! That's wonderful! I might use it for a desktop background as well, at that.

That is SO funny!! I love it! What a great response from a consumer relations department. You've inspired me to post another excellent response I've seen before which, whilst it might not be real, is one of the funniest things I've ever read.

I love it when people pick things like this up and run with it. I'm REALLY hoping they continue to have a sense of humor about it. Or sense the deep underlying importance, whichever comes first.

But it was April 1st yesterday. Maybe that is a joke response.

You seriously need to get that letterhead Steph suggested. It's so very YOU.

I'm intrigued by the 34 as well. It seems a random sort of number, doesn't it? The mystery I'd really like solved, however is why in Sweden they sell hot dogs in packs of 10 and hot dog buns in packs of 8 or 16. And why my egg holder in the fridge holds 8 eggs, when eggs here come in packs of 6, 10, 12, 18. Enlighten me, oh great oracle of the absurd.

Actually, with the hot dogs it's sheer, unmasked evil. They have come out and admitted to doing it on purpose. The plan is that this way you will (almost) always have either hot dogs or buns laying around at home, and therefore you will buy the other. Then you'll have left over of it and buy the first. Etcetera ad bankruptum et obesitas.
