I hate to be a whiner, but...

...I got another migraine today. I'm sure they're hormonally triggered, but I'm really hoping we can find a solution for them because I can't very well feel like this every other day. I've been very lucky up until now as far as pregnancy side effects go...it would be nice if my body could just cope for about another 6 weeks! I'm going to call the ( Read more... )

Did you get migraines when you were pregnant? I hadn't had one in almost a year until this week. I'm hoping it's just a phase!

I had them in my first trimester... and just regular headaches all throughout my pregnancy.

crap! well, I'm sure you know this, but if they're coming on after business hours you can call the clinic main number and the service will pass a message on to the midwife on call who will get back to you almost immediately. Don't feel like you have to wait until the next morning, they can prescribe something better than Tylenol to knock them out quickly.

Hope today is much better!

She said to try tylenol and a really strong caffeinated drink and see if that helps. If not, I have an appointment on Tuesday so we can discuss other options then.

amen!
I wish there was a way to prevent them so I wouldn't be afraid to drive across town.

oh, that sucks. i'm sorry. :(
maybe the driving makes you nauseous and triggers it? and i don't suppose you can take prescription migraine drugs just now.
i get them too. mine are usually hormone-related as well. boooo to migraines!

Who knows! I'm thinking they might be triggered by bright lights. Twice I was driving (once behind a very shiny car reflecting the sun) and twice I've been watching the same episode of Lost. Weird, no?

could very well be. flickering lights or fluttering lines or things can bring one on for me. i find it's a combination of things. the other day i was at work and had a "headache" and i wanted so badly to wear my sunglasses at work. (but i'm indoors and w/ public, so, bad idea.) i'm sorry you are getting so many. that's so terrible. especially when you have fun things you want to do! i hope the next six weeks gets better for you!
