I just couldn't do it again, you know? I went through the "My hair is falling out" thing already and it seriously might have been the most depressing time in my life. Sure, there were other factors, but when a woman's hair falls out it's not a happy event. Mine was particularly bad because the top half fell out to my root and left me with about an ( Read more... )

Unfortunately no matter how much you deep-condition your hair, it won't do much good because your hair is already dead from about one inch down...

But on the bright side it sounds like you've done the right thing chopping it into that cute bob & dying it that gorgeous colour red!

Just PLEASE take care of it. You don't know how many people suffer depression as a result of hair trauma :(

ive had my hair melt/fall out on me 3 times in my life so far. and i hear you.
it blows. the first time, my hair was black and pink and down to my ass. then i saw "gone in 60 seconds" and decided i wanted blonde dreads.
WRONG. i bleached it 2 times in one night (bad idea) and i was washing it out and literally it was like pulling off handfulls of plastic melted dreads. it was horrible. my hair went from ass length to chin/cheekbone length in a few hours. commence breakdown.

i personally think the red is cute on you. it lightens your skin and makes you look all glowey. :) :)

i reccommend K-Pac's reconstructing treatment for breaking hair. it works really good and should be about $20 at the salon. but for $5 get some cholesterol treatment. that works good too.

And it takes SO LONG for it to grow back when it melts off. I don't understand. I took prenatal vitamins and everything, and it would NOT grow back for the life of me.

Ok so it grew like an inch a month, but when a girl wants long hair that just isn't fast enough!!

I totally know what it's like to have my hair fall out. The first time was because, like you, I messed with my hair too often So it was super duper porous. One day I bleached it and it decided it just couldn't take anymore. So my hair melted. And It was orange. So I put a super red cellophane over it and pretended like I did it on purpose. nevermind the fact that all I had to do was touch my hair and it would fall off.

The second time, I got very sick. Well... It was depresion and not eating. And this time it fell out at the roots. like, I'd take a shower and clumps of hair would come out. I SERIOUSLY had bald spots so I had to strtegically part my hair to cover it up. That was even more depressing.

So. point being, I know your pain.

Your hair looks cute. The color is pretty and goes well with your skin. Now try and leave it alone for awhile :)
