Immediately after the second episode airs, Joe starts seeing the stuff about Arya and Gendry being a couple and how much people want it to happen. At first, it makes him laugh; it is obvious watching the show that he is a grown man and Maisie looks small for her age. He doesn't really think about it, and he never asks Maisie if she hears about it because he doesn't want to make her uncomfortable ( ... )

Oh, that is lovely! He obviously knows about shipping (as he said in that one interview) and I can totally see how it would progress like that; the fact that initially it'd be so hard to imagine even, but once imagined, it'd be hard to, well, not see. (ALSO OMG, I HAVE NO IDEA IF THIS IS AN ACTUAL SCENE FROM THE BOOKS, BUT I WANT IT ON MY SCREEN RIGHT NOW)

If you are avoiding spoilers, I will not confirm or deny if it is a scene, but I will say Season 3/Book 3 are very kind for Arya/Gendry shippers.
