I did not expect that kiss! I giggled when Elena tries to copy him and finds it exhausting. I bet it'd be! I like all the little details, the reason Elijah is so quiet, her parents calling her a chatterbox, a finger remaining on her lips...I could picture it perfectly and the speed, the slowness, fits him well because I don't think Elijah is impulsive, and wouldn't move fast to do something. A little brush of his lips. Hell, *I* shivered when I read that! :)

I imagine when Elijah and Elena kiss (and I'm saying when, not if, because I refuse to believe they'll build up this much tension and not do something with it) it will definitely be a slow, out of nowhere kind of thing.
