Although he didn't precisely "come out" - the NY Times asked him (as part of a piece on his 80th birthday) if there was a question he'd never been asked, and he said he'd never been asked about being gay and then went on for about a line and a half about it. :) It was a really cute article.

What do you want to bet that the same folks who kept banning Night Kitchen are having a field day with this?
