Kira had tried to be calm before leaving Magnolia - he wanted to rush over there and check on the boys, but he had to make sure he had everything he needed before leaving.

He packed everything into a bag; his first-aid supplies, ointment for the wounds, and a few painkillers. He could not remember if Sasuke had any of his own at the moment for Matt.

He also had some leftovers from the previous night's cooking; fried rice and some beef, cut thinly and flavoured with ginger. Kira did not know how they were eating, and Matt needed every bit of nourishment to keep up his strength and heal.

When the shinigami arrived, he rapped softly on the door - he had been careful not to draw too much attention to himself. He dressed plainly and walked with a purpose; he was worried that someone would track him to Matt's location if they wanted to finish the boy off.

When he heard the knock at the door, Sasuke got up to answer it. He cast a quick glance back over his shoulder at Matt before silently slipping out of the room.

Approaching the door, Sasuke opened it, and seeing that it was Kira, opened it wide enough for the shinigami to step through, "Kira."

"How is he?" Kira asked, entering the apartment. He looked to Sasuke - the boy seemed tired, and of course he was worried that they weren't looking after themselves properly. Which is partially why he'd come by.

"I was careful coming here; I don't think anyone followed me."

Sasuke closed the door gently after Kira walked in, locking it with a swift movement. Truth be told, he was tired. There was only so much that he himself could do, being the anti-social jerk that he was.

"Not much better." Sasuke walked on past Kira, giving a small motion for him to follow. "Mm. Thank you."

Slipping back into Matt's room, Sasuke knelt down at his bedside, reaching out an oddly gentle hand to shake him awake, lightly.

"Matt. Kira's here, you need to wake up."
