He's still trying to work on his priorities under all the happy arrivals and vicious words. He was a dead man; that enough, while slightly satisfying for his ego, had managed to throw him off a little too much, though he'd never admit it. It hadn't particularly hit his pride, but he was still on the fence about accepting help. There was something, drawn out from his past, that made him hate the idea.
But it had happened before, and it was only a commodity that Halle had offered him. He'd be a fool to pass it up.
Room 1004. He doesn't spare her any front and pushes the door open, decidedly annoyed at what he sees.
The door opening causes her to jump up- he got in, then, got past Tsubaki without any problems, and Halle hadn't been called down to a working room which means he hadn't had to pay for anything.
She takes a few minutes to look over him, trying to remember how bad it was the last time. When Halle starts to speak, she can muster up enough confidence to speak like when she first arrived, closest to what he would have last heard her sound like. She was still so proud.
"Take off the jacket, the vest- I think the burn goes that far."
Without a word, she turns to the bathroom to see what she has. Admittedly, the apartment was a bit odd, with Near's toys- she had asked to keep them- in the corner, the rag dolls on the top of the pile.
He's as silent as she is, having things to ask which are ultimately useless little details. Unrequired.
Pulling off the jacket and unzipping the vest before discarding both items to the side of the room, he settles down as best he can and waits for her return. Admittedly a little tired from getting himself in the room to begin with, he takes it all in and only dislikes it because it is tenfold better than his own conditions.
The toys keep catching his eye; he has a good idea of whom they belonged to, and so of course, he dislikes them.
She returns back to the main room quickly, setting down a roll or two of gauze and a small cup of water, as well as the kit the room already had, rather ironically. Halle keeps her gaze down as she talks, mostly to calm herself, taking a cloth and dipping it carefully in the water, and then kneeling beside him in the chair, turning her attention to his shoulder and any shrapnel that would have gotten in there during the blast.
"You've done a pretty good job of cleaning yourself up. Your face, at least, and your shoulder--"
Taking the cloth with the cool water, she quickly runs it over the burn before reaching for the gauze to take it and wrap it around the burn loosely.
