She was looking for someone, it was clear enough by the way she was glancing around without really keeping her gaze anywhere for too long. Halle was alert, watching and making sure no one was able to surprise her, walking through the slums with as confident a posture as she could manage. He was here, he had to be- of course, he had his own problems, and she had been getting a bit dependent on his visits, but still.

Halle was getting further and further into the slums, and began to turn back. With her memories of Japan the last time she had been here- Takada had really gotten around, everything was semi-familiar, and the weeks spend outside- any time she could, really- she had a pretty good mental map of Toshima. Getting lost here was not an option, considering what could happen- what with the murderers and the drugs and such. But it was still morning, and things almost didn't seem quite as bad now as they would in another twelve hours.

As Gilbert started out on his own--his crimson eyes widened in shock. He had found another person. A woman at that. And she was walking through here on her own. He followed silently, quietly, his shoes barely making a sound as he followed the woman, curious as to where she was heading. For all he knew this girl was leading him into a trap. Knowing that he could never be too careful, his hands slipped into his pocket, pulling out the two brass implements he wore over his knuckles when he fought. Mostly in a "Just in case" sort of measure in case the woman turned and just happened to want to start something.

Again, his mind told him that...he would screw the rules if necessary.

Coming out here was useless- she would have learned more in five minutes of asking around on the network than getting up and looking herself. Halle turned back- but was unable to shake the feeling she was being followed- and it turned out she was right.

Oh, just perfect, there was someone there- she just didn't learn. But Halle stayed quiet, waiting for the man to start speaking, but keeping her pace even as she walked back towards the general 'city' area. A fight was the last thing she wanted to have go through today, but she'd defend herself.

Gilbert was walking as if he hadn't even noticed that the woman had spotted him. Instead, he hummed a bit of a tune to himself, acting oblivious to the other attentive nature. Gilbert had things to say of course--but he wouldn't say them just yet. Not to a woman. He grinned a bit, maybe he was scaring her--maybe he was intimidating. Just maybe. And just maybe, he'd say something.

Stopping for just a moment, he adjusted his weight--almost posing to appear as if he was some sort of model. "Oi! Woman!" he called, not caring if she ended up finding the jeer to be disrespectful. "Am I fuckin' seein' things or are you real?"
