Altamira: the sunny resort town. Yuan would have thought that Kratos would have preferred property up in Flanoir, considering the frigid town much better suited his temperament. Flanoir. Coldest real estate in Tethe'alla. At least up there, there's little chance of sunburn. Altamira might be an unusual choice, but there's a little good logic in there. For one, Kratos isn't one to look a gift horse in the mouth; traveling with the President of a very well-off company is not without its benefits. For another, the commonly good weather makes repairs a significantly easier task, when he doesn't have to bow his efforts to the whims of ice and snow and rain ( ... )

Thus Yuan's smirk. He hardly expected miracles in this day and age. Mithos's change of heart had seemed one, after all--but no, like everything else he touched, Mithos went and ruined that, too. Uncharitable thoughts, but Yuan was set in his belief that after four millennia of dealing with his former companion, they were well-deserved ( ... )

Admittedly, the angelic strength and stamina did have a lot to do with the progress on the house; the amount of work that had been completed as of yet would have required a small handful of more temporary beings working long hours to accomplish as much. It had not yet occurred to Kratos that he should pace himself, rather than hope that passersby would fail to notice only one man working on this building in such haste. Fortunately, most people who visited and resided in the resort town had much better (and more distracting) things to do than take note of such mundane details ( ... )

"I know." Yuan's smile was wry but apologetic. Kratos had asked him to come visit soon, and it...simply had not happened until now. But using business as an excuse for not confronting the other angel had driven Yuan to near-madness, and it was just good to see him again--to hear that faint affection. Why hadn't he come sooner? But no point in worrying about that now at the cost of not enjoying their reunion. That, of course, meant no apology, but apologies for minor matters weren't their style, anyway ( ... )
