Sloth of July

Today has been another complete day of nothingness. I woke up, feed the cats, ate some cereal, played on the computer, went back to sleep for a few hours, got up, took a shower, went to Lowe's, had dinner and came home. I'm just waiting for it to get late enough to go to bed.

I have become obsessed with MySpace recently. I had set up a profile a ( Read more... )

Good luck with your furniture!

And be careful of the myspace. For it is EVIL. I only go on there to read the blogs from casts of the Office. I do not blog there or have many friends there. Just bands and the office people and a few people I know in real life.

Beware of the myspace borg!

Setting it up for Pride was a good idea though, it's great for marketing stuff! Sounds like you are excited about Pride. I've never been to one, I had to work the weekend of Pride this year, which sucked, because I would have liked to volunteer at my church. (I go to MCC so they had a booth set up outside the church in West Hollywood.) I missed out, but with the new job, I will never have to miss Pride again! Yay!

I think one of the original reasons I joined MySpace was to read Pam's blog, and now I never read it anymore!

There are a couple of MCCs in Charlotte, and they are helping out with some of the aspects of our event that I'm not directly involved in. I am not a relgious person, but I am pleasantly surprised how many gay and gay-accepting churches there are here. It's good to know that people have options.

She writes great stuff. I met Jenna a few weeks ago and she was so sweet.

I'm glad to hear there are MCC's out there. I don't consider myself religious, more spiritual, and there is a big difference for me. I have been fearful of ANY kind of Christianity for a long time, but some friends went to MCC and a group I attend uses their social hall once a month, and one day in December I decided to go. It was the first time I've ever heard of God spoken as a force that has universal love and acceptance for EVERYONE. I'd always felt really separated from God because my mom was unmarried when she had me (Catholic Guilt is a very damning thing for a child!) and I've grown up to realize I'm a bisexual polyamorous kinky girl. So finding a place where I can study spirituality and learn about things from people who share some of those same characteristics with me is very helpful.

I'm glad to hear they're helping with your Pride. I really hope to go next yeat!

You should set up a LJ community for Charlotte Pride as well. It couldn't hurt! anyway, B has a myspace account so we checked out Pride there. great idea! Keep up the creative marketing.
We should meet for lunch a week or two before pride and plaster the campus public bulletin boards as well. :-)
