Brian knew his roommate couldn't cook, but that didn't stop him for taking pity on him and wanting to help him at least learn more than cereal and toast. It also didn't help that he was smitten with Annette who happened to be an extremely cute cook and he should at least brush up on his own cooking skills. He decided that they would try to make Grilled Cheese, it was simple and only required a small flame.

He was in the kitchen with the ingredients set out when he heard Drew behind him and couldn't help but laugh when his roommate grabbed the fire extinguisher, "Are you serious? Well, you are the one that caught the curtains on fire, so maybe we will. We're going to make grilled cheese, think you can handle it?"

Setting the fire extinguisher on the counter, he turned his head and cocked a brow, “Grilled cheese?” he echoed and turned his full body around to face Brian, “that requires fire, right?” he asked, but the answer was obvious. Walking to the stove, he scratched the back of his head, “See, I don’t understand why we can’t just eat the bread and cheese together without having to cook it. Isn’t the bread good enough? Do you know how long it took to make it? I think it would be highly rude of us to change it from it’s original state” Currently, Drew sounded both worried and more so; stupid. Sometimes he did tend to ramble when he was nervous. Frankly, he would be happy if he didn’t catch anything on fire.

His hands clapped together and looked at Brian, “Hey, I just thought of a great idea” he said with mock enthusiasm, “How about we make cereal? We can have a breakfast for dinner. Plus, it has milk, which is a dairy product, which is good for your bones and teeth…and other stuff”

"Yeah, it requires fire, but it's not that big of a flame," Brian tried to reassure him and then Drew started off on one of his rants and he let out a sigh as he leaned against the counter. Then he suggested making cereal and Brian just gave him a stern look and shook his head, "Dude, we're not making cereal! You're going to be just fine. You just spray the pan, put the flame on low if you want, butter the bread and put that on the pan to cook with the cheese. It's seriously simple."

Drew let out an exasperated, and a half obnoxious sigh, “Fine” he grunted, “but if your pants goes on fire, don’t you be blaming me” grabbing the can, he swiftly sprayed the pan. Easy enough, he thought. Looking at the knobs, his eyes looked carefully as he put it to low. Setting it up was the easy part; it’s just when the food goes on the pan was when he started to freak out. Thank God Brian had suggested to put some butter on the bread, “I’ll bread the butter” he said quickly. In a flash, he went to the bread and started to butter it in an unneeded slow pace, “you can do the bread on the pan part” he said.

While he was buttering the bread, he looked up at Brian, “So, how did your date go with that girl? Annette, right?” he asked. Half the reason he brought it up was to distract Brian from making him go in front of that God-forsaken stove, and the other half was just natural curiosity, “Things went smoothly?”
