Okay. Nearly ready. Plans for today, relating to travel, are "pack". I need to add one set of clothes, plus something nice for the Hugos. (Probably just a dressier than usual top; there is a certain shrug-and-carry-on[1] freedom to living out of a bag for most of a week

Not that you need my suggestion, but for fanciness-when-travelling, throwing (or...gently placing) a dressy necklace/earrings in the bag poshes up an ordinary outfit. Hurrah for accessories.

No, it's a good suggestion! (I forgot to mention them separately, because I love my earrings, and they are usually one of the first things I put on.) Will definitely be bringing some shinies. :)

I almost managed to pack a carry-on sized bag for 3 weeks, but not quite. Mind you, even the bag I packed (24in) assumes me doing laundry or washing undies and socks in the sink once or twice.

Mine's 14.5"w × 15.5"h × 6"d, and I think I'll be okay. I am definitely doing laundry along the way, though, and may take a friend's advice about "remember you can always mail your clothes home if you're low on space, and carry your souvenirs with you".

(I have been packing skivvy rolls. I am quietly amused that I found out about these while browsing for stuff associated with one of my fandoms, and now I am using it to go to WorldCon.)
