News of the good.

We got to see Piper last night, and she cleared the 36-hours-out-of-surgery point[1] at three this morning. The surgeon was very busy today[2], so we haven't gotten a medical assessment, but the technician called a couple of hours ago to says she's eating solid food again[3], looking for attention, and doing well. Me too. The vet is actually freaking out a little over how well she seems to be doing; it's very odd, and in light of that, we're looking at her coming home after Monday.

Is there anything you guys need in terms of vet-bill assistance? I know this came out of the blue, and you know how familiar I am with unexpected vet bills and the havoc they can wreak with already-stretched finances.
