Carol of the Bells

Christmas in our house is forbiden before the day after Thanksgiving. Always has been. Until recent years, this was never really a problem, very few people (other then Joan's mom) put up their Christmas stuff that early. Now, of course, all the stores do, and people will follow.

sounds fabulous. it always drives me bonkers when my family (as my aunt loved to do when we had thanksgiving down in cali) plays christmas music during thanksgiving dinner. we are so inundated with christmas during the season that i think it's only fair to not start until the actual season starts, and the winter holiday season starts on Black Friday. that's the way it works.

man, now you're making me wish i had my christmas music on my ipod. nothing like a like trans-siberian mixed with bob river's walking around in women's underwear. :D

It's a blessed haven I fully intend to carry on in my own home. As I did today. Really, Christmas should just never come before Thanksgiving, and I love Christmas, it really is my favorate time of the year, but even I know it has it's time and place.

You know, a lot of the links on that Music Meme are probably still active, you may be able to find some good stuff to get you going...

Oh, how I wish there were more Christmas-themed vids. I didn't even watch Firefly or Serenity and I'd still watch that music video.

Merry 27-days-until-Christmas!

I gotta admit, though, I got SO MUCH MUSIC last year that I don't really feel the need for much more. ;)

Speaking of Christmas, though... Last night I broke out those paper snowflakes you sent me and gave them to Meaghan. She's already cut out three, and I have a little video to send you as soon as I can get it uploaded. *g* Oh, and Cindy wanted me to tell you that the "pre-cut" flakes you sent are "really beautiful" and we'll be hanging them in our windows this year. :-)

Oh! And on a completely unrelated note, have you seen THIS yet?? Remember that last blooper from FTF where GA had DD up against the wall during that (in)famous hallway scene? Well, as it turns out, they filmed a second "blooper" that's just been released on the Blue Ray version of the movie, and... wow. Talk about squee. It's the ( ... )
