Aquarium Rec? Cruelty free? (water plants, fish food, chem kits)
I'm looking to buy some aquatic plants, among other supplies (chem kit), but I don't want to give my money to the kind of super suck stores that sells painted glass fishes or keeps puppies in a small cage with no toys ( Dragon City, Spadina and Dundas, that was during the summer when they first opened though). Generally the kind of stores with neglected and sick or extremely unhappy animals, I don't want to buy from (PJ Pet Heaven at Fairview Mall = suck). I am willing to overlook things like bettas in a cup if it's clean (cause I think EVERYBODY is doing it, le sigh).
So any aquarium shops? Or pet shops that sells water plants and fish food and stuff?
Also, I notice this community currently doesn't have a tag for plants right now, well, I think it'll be useful to add one, because I do notice quite a few crosses between members of this community and urban_flowerpot + growing_indoors. Torontonian plant love!
