Feral Cat Shelter workshop

Want to help homeless kitties but can't take them in yourself? There is a workshop to help build shelters for feral cats going on this Saturday at the Toronto Humane Society. The workshops run every month in case you cannot make it this weekend.

don't get me wrong ... I love the kitties ... but doesn't making shelters for feral cats just lead to more feral cats?

My understanding is that the shelter-building project is done in conjunction with a TNR (Trap-Neuter-Release) program.

Littlehoudini is correct. Plus, cats that are not spayed/neutered will repopulate whether they are warm or not. Giving them a shelter just keeps them warm and safe. It also helps make it easier for people to trap them to have them fixed and released. :)

My cat is a rescued/reformed feral and it was the best thing we ever did. So proud of our little duder, she's such a loving, gentle darling!
