Burning the old dreams to start new ones.

Oct 16, 2011 20:40

I've decide that it may be a month into the school year, but it's time to start over. No more old things hanging over me, be they old grades, or old heartbreaks or unrequited loves. I think I'm going to gather all of this together and head to the park this weekend. I'd like to invite anyone and everyone who wants a new start to join me.

Anyone

Already? We still have a month or so to go before the new year. 70 something days if I'm not mistaken.

True, but I'm ready to start new right now. There anything you want to start brand new with? Maybe try to find yourself a girlfriend now?

I appreciate your concern with my love life but I think you should worry about your own.

Regarding new beginnings, I'd have to think of something. We'll see. I might join you.

That's part of this new beginning Jason dear. I'm done worrying about what should have been and what can be now.

You should. You can at least play for us while we're around the bonfire.

An unconventional new start. I like the sound of that.

I can definitely make some time in my non-existent schedule for that. Count me in.

I think I need to extinguish a flame. Room for a freshman?

Oh little freshman. Are you ready to play with the big kids?

This is open for everyone though, bring your treasures to torch.

A bonfire, Tori? Really? I'd think that big an open flame would make you nervous. You do know what they used to do with witches, right? Pro tip: if anyone arrives with a stake and a pile of rope, run.

tsk tsk tsk. He who throws the first stone Jessie. I'm not the only one who should be hiding from witch hunts. Though honestly I am attempting to turn over new leaves. You should try it. It might be good for you. You're welcome to come, just be careful that your hair doesn't set itself on fire from all the products in it.

Hair jokes, Tori? Minus ten points for creativity. And I'm quite happy with the way my life's going, thanks - my leaves are all in order, and I'm not the one who needs to burn their stuff because they thought they could make someone into something they're not.

You don't want me there, trust me - I'd be the one carrying the stake and the rope.

Aww sorry it's just so easy when you secrete your own slime. You're probably right about not needing you around, but I was trying to be a nice, something that's a foreign concept for you.

As for turning someone into something they're not? What are you talking about....
