LMAO, that's really strange that no one knows about that book. It's actually quite frequently listed in those "books you must read before you die" lists.

I tried getting through it once, but my short attention span got in the way. I do remember Mrs. Knopfelmacher (?) photocopying pages and pages of it for her Year 9 or 10 Philosophy class though. I can vaguely remember bits and pieces from those handouts, but not alot. Might try reading it again sometime.

I don't think I would have been able to get into it in highschool, but when I started reading it I was absorbed all night long. It maybe helps that I have more of an interest in the history of philosophy now, or something.
