I take the direct cost of materials plus 5 dollars or so an hour for the work put into it.. including matting and such. For prints I use cost of prints plus matting/framing plus 1/3 of the price I would sell the original for. Also account for size of the piece. Once things get over the 16 x 14 size I tack on a little extra for transporting the piece and that sort of thing.

The cost of the materials and what you would "sell" the painting for. So you figure depending on the size of the paintings add about $50.00 to $100.00 to the cost of the materials..
