the thing with digital devil saga is the same as with shin megami 3 nocturne: the main character...has no personality, but thats not a bad thing nesesarily! what you can do to push it a bit is give him the personality you think he should have, makes the game even more enjoyable (at least, thats how it worked when i was playing smt3 witha friend, turning our main character into a dumb punk who didnt really understood what was going on but went with the flow of events non the less)
