the girl in the dress cried the whole way home

I've written 8000ish words of my bandombigbang and 1000ish words of Andrew/Jesse this weekend, so the most coherence you're now going to get from me this fine Sunday night is in meme form. Two memes for the price of one:

The book I am reading: It might be easier to say, what books aren't I reading. I'm reading Tanya Huff's The Fire Stone, Jordan C. Price's ( Read more... )

I haven't reread any Rosemary Sutcliffe books as an adult, but I remember really loving them when I first read them. The movie looks pretty unintentionally hilarious from the trailer!

i know i need to give tanya huff another go. the versions i got from the library had miniscule print that went right to the edge of the page and was just such a chore to read.

i'll put it on my reserve list and hope they get a different edition this time! /o\

Oh no, that sucks! The Smoke books are fantastic, as is her Enchantment Emporium. I haven't been so fond of anything else she's written, but a lot of people are.

\o/\o/\o/ Go you! That is incredibly productive. Now I know how you managed to get your dissertation handed in a week early. *grins*

Also, I am very, very glad to see Wuthering Heights on that list. In fact, I think I'm due a reread of that soon...

Yeeeah, I write a lot of words at once. But then I have to go back and see if they make sense; that's the difficulty!

I am incredibly proud of Wuthering Heights, although it's one of my stories that I never reread because if there are problems with it, I just really don't want to know.

Oh~ Tanya Huff! The First Stone is an older book, right? How is it? And, looking only at the title, GhosTV sounds pretty fun.
From what I've heard, The Eagle is quite good and veeeeery slashy. ;D Maybe I should give it a try, too.

Have you named your NaNo, by the way? I vaguely remember a working title, I think? <.<'''

Fire Stone is one of her earliest books, I think. It's definitely got her old problem of constant POV shifts, unfortunately. Otherwise, it's pretty good so far and has LOTS of slashy goodness.

GhosTV is excellent! Have you read any Jordan C. Price? Her psycops series is one of my favourites.

It did have a working title, but it doesn't have a real one yet :( I don't know what to call it... Random Story of Teenagers Doing Magic and Falling In Love?

No, I've never heard of Price, but I'll check her stuff out if it comes recommended. :D

'Random Story of Teenagers Doing Magic and Falling In Love'...Hmm...well, at least the reader knows what they're getting into right away? XD The time-traveling is missing, though! How about...'Chris and Marshall do magic and time-traveling and stuff and are emotionally stupid but still manage to fall in love while Chris' awesome friend Debbie kicks ass and takes names'? Not sure how that would fit on a cover, though. ;D

Also, TORA HAVE YOU SEEN PATRICK STUMP'S NEW VIDEO? Because I am ridiculously in love with it and suspect that Mr. Stump has found an ancient device that de-ages anyone who touches it.

Her Pyscop books are great! And the best part is that you can buy all her books from
