2020 Winter Vacation Part 1

Your first day of travel seems frantic, but in the end you got where you were trying to go, so I guess all's well that ends well?

Yes, indeed. International travel is always a bit harrowing. I generally hate flying, too, because of all the hoops you have to jump through, all while being herded around like a bunch of livestock. But when I get to see awesome places, it's worth it.

Sorry for the slow reply, tab got buried and finally found it and read it while cleaning up bookmarks. Sounds like a heck of a trip!

Yeah, I've heard about the tradition of throwing coins into jet engines. Not very sensible, glad they're taking precautions to try to prevent it.

It's absolutely insane. Some of the things that otherwise perfectly reasonable Chinese people will do to satisfy a superstition just blow me away.

Given how close we are on the stairwell to the engine, the passengers would be going through the engine at the same time.
