At Gen Con I decided the "commission" I wanted to make this year was to have a custom set of dice made for myself.

they HAVE to. If they grant you permission, it can be used against them down the road. In order to keep the copyrights, they have to protect them. It is the suxorz, but it's also the same reason Disney busts up day cares with their stuff up.

Well, I can understand going after folks who violate their copyrights and patents, but that's why I was asking permission. I was even willing to pay a licensing fee, if needed. Oh, well. Like I said, I'm not surprised, just dissapointed. I bet I could make something that looked darn similar, but not the same... I mean, it's just 3 marks and will be pretty small when engraved. ;)

But I'll likely send them one of my few remaining Werewolf dice and just have them re-mix the plastic and make more, and if I can think of anything better to draw/create, I may have it added to the dice.

If you haven't watched the film Helvetica, you'd probably enjoy it. It's focus is on the eponymous typeface, but it's also a broader look at the role and psychology of typography in design. It's interesting stuff even for someone who isn't in graphic design or a typography geek.

Could you come up with your own design to put on the dice instead? I think that would be cooler anyway.

Yeah, I could (pretty darn easily) if I could think of something I wanted to put onto 100 W:tA colored dice that would fit. I've considered it too... I'm just trying to figure something out that would worth putting onto so many dice. ;)
