God indeed made a mistake in creating the world. Logic and angels told Him that it should not have been done, because man will not be up to par to his task.

However, God saw the souls of the righteous that were to be born, fell in love with them, and disregarded reason.

i cannot view G-d as having made a mistake. i made a mistake whehn i was too young & opened Iyov. in retrospect, i think what turned me off was G-d losing the bet. hope someday to revisit the topuc.
Celibate implies 'unpaired' or alone.

G-d is 1 uniform siimple existance (based loosly on s/t the Ramcha"l writes at the beginning of derech HaShem), as such calling G-d celibate makes no sense/
