I remember one moment where I was visiting the Lincoln Memorial during a beautiful sunset and I saw.. with my own two peepers... EVERYONE IN THE CROWD, taking a selfie... at once. It was like 200 people spending 5 seconds taking their own photos (not apparently bothered by the fact that their background is 199 people doing the same thing) and I saw the moment... and watched with awe....
... and suddenly it was broken. It was like a flash mob of selfies.... and maybe I just didn't get the memo?
