The EU welcomes first visa-free Ukrainians

So Ukrainians no longer need to apply for visas to travel to the EU (well, the Schengen part of it), which is viewed as the most substantial victory to date of their recent revolution and it made them very happy, partly because the Russians were saying that this would never happen and that the EU would never deliver on those vague promises. Will there also be singing and dancing at the destination airports? That would be cool.

That's the spirit!
I hope that Russia will become visa-free with Europe soon too. I want to buy a nice little house somewhere around Baikal, I have heard that the nature there is unique and spectacular.

"I hope that Russia will become visa-free with Europe soon too."

I would like too but certain it will not happent soon enough as the problems had came with the free EU zone with many people from the East Europe started to come to the West Europe to work and it wasn't working very well for locals as I had heard.

"I want to buy a nice little house somewhere around Baikal"

You could do it without any visa-free laws as I can buy a house or a flat at Spain. Yes of course it would be more easy to travel with visa-free law but people which like to travel now to Europe or from Europe to Russia do it without much fuss.

Those problems were not big (although I would expect your media would inflate them greatly) and no country was thrown out because of them. Whenever you implement something new some problems are expected and are a natural part of the process, we still move on though. Nothing is done without some problems along the way. I hope that Russia - Europe relations turn for the better soon (Putin and KGB elite are not eternal). It was going well before it deteriorated fast recently. A couple of Russians told me though that it became much easier to get visas to the EU though than it was 5-7 years ago, which is good news.

I don;t think it is easy to buy land in Russia even for the Russians (the bureaucracy is impossible to get through one of our volunteers told us). And I think buying land is still not possible for foreigners and I want a lot of land to go with my house as usual :).
