I guess Kim has been feeling offended and microaggressed recently. This is probably the world's largest safe space these days. I like how they had to warn against the use of "This is all America's fault".

My g+ is filled with "dropped my sandwich: THANKS, OBAMA!" relatives of this. But I do wonder if the censors have just discovered sarcasm, or if this is a sign of widespread dissent.

I think it is the latter. Apparently the dissent there has been growing faster than ever these days. There are now even anti Kim graffiti, which having visited the place sounds absolutely impossible to me. Doing graffiti there would be like saying that something is not racist in the US.

Two generations away from the Great Leader, and news of the outside world sneaking in slowly: I can see how dissent might rise. Hard to imagine it succeeding in that land, though.

We are now based in a post-Soviet country and people here tell us over and over again that they could never imagine that Soviet Union would fall down and apart and as quickly as it did.
