So this isn't a news update, but I'm watching an oxygen marathon of topmodel and Kelly Cutrone is a judge on this one. It's the college edition from 2012. I know the whole judging system sucks with the new judges number system and the social media input on this season but Kelly Cutrone is a HORRIBLE judge in my opinion

This last cycle was the one that ruined top model for me

yeah it had been declining earlier than that, but this past season was just a joke

one of the worst things for me was the judging, like you kind of said, it all seemed so arbitrary with no actual reasoning behind it

I hate her. She's one of the main reasons why I finally quit watching.

At first, I was excited about the social media content and seeing the judge's "scores", but all it really did was make it more apparent how biased and terrible the judging could be. It consistently seemed like there would be one judge who would "love" a photo when everyone else hated it, and one high score somehow always made up for low scores everywhere else, so often, it felt like the fan vote didn't really matter. It was especially disappointing to me when Laura won, because it just felt like it came out of nowhere - Kiara had the sympathy edit, and Leila was the best model (IMO), so I really didn't expect Laura to win, and it wasn't a good surprise
