I feel kinda bad for chris - she's SO beautiful but i think is more commercial than what they're going for (especially if they dress her up in shit like this).

Is Ann a witch or something? I mean seriously... 5th time first now!? Are we in an alternate universe? There was only one week when I really thought she deserved it. This is feeling like it's beyond favorites.

Or maybe Tyra just wants the opposite of her short cycle/winner, which is only 2 seasons ago. But why so insistent? Just give her the damn prize already.

I don't think Tyra has any say in the winner and if she does, it is little. The clients are so big this cycle, I doubt they would want what Tyra wants. If anything, they probably already found a model and put her in the cast and she's pre-determined.

The thing about Ann is that, overall, she is by far the most modelesque of the group by a long shot, and I'm not just saying this because she's my favorite.
Yes, the CoverGirl contract is an intrinsic part of the prize, and I'd be foolish to even think that Ann is at all personable or bubbly. However, she really does have that insufferable "it factor," and though I kind of wish another contestant had gotten first call-out this week just for the sake of mixing it up (Esther, perhaps, because I felt Kendal and Jane were rather weak), I feel she's consistently taken some of the best shots of the season. *shrug*

If covergirl had nothing to do with the winner, I think Ann WOULD win hands-down. Presence is one thing, especially if you are doing stupid commercials as seen in previous cycles, but her photos are just really consistently good. I think most high fashion clients would take consistently wonderful photos over sometimes good, sometimes meh photos but with a super bubbly personality.

except for Ann's constant FCO, i only want one mor person eliminated so i actually LIKE this cycle O.O I like most people's shots here (except Liz and Kacey) and this photoshoot seems realistic.

Ann is good though, say what you want but the girl takes a good picture. not 5-times-the-best pictures but still, very good.

I heart Ann. Whateva. I do not think she will win for the sole fact she will probably do poorly at interviews, commercials, etc.

But this is Vogue Italia and IMG..not interviews and commercials.. I know the Cover Girl contract is still a prize but I doubt they wouldn't want her because she's bad at interviews and commercials when they can and have easily worked around that in the past.

But even Ann will at some point, after Vogue Italia, have to go out there into the real model world, attend go sees, show at designers etc. and she will so not survive that.

She photographs well but models have to do more than just that...

It's just unrealistic.

Like what? Her runway walk might be an issue (I actually have to go back and see that) but that's basically the only issue. Interviews and commercials =/= high fashion. A lot of the high fashion models out there give terrible interviews and don't have super bubbly happy go lucky annoying personalities but still get booked. I'm sure she'll survive that.

Contrary to what's shown on the go-sees, the designers don't really care what you're personality is like unless you walk in with a completely bitchy disrespectful attitude that is going to hell to work with. They only care how you photograph or walk, based on what they're hiring you for and your look and how you will fit the clothes.

Alice Burdeu from AusNTM had a similar personality to Ann's and she almost didn't win her cycle and would have not had it not been for that public vote and client votes and she walked for Alexander McQueen, Dolce & Gabbana, Jill Sander, Lanvin, Sonya Rykiel, etc.
