i really didnt get all the "racist" hate that this shoot is getting. i think people are too sensitive, because i thought this shoot was really beautiful and a lovely portrayal of different ethnicities. plus, didnt they do a shoot in one of the early seasons where they made each model a different ethnicity? maybe people should stop looking at "bi-racial" as a bad word or something.

Yeah, Tyra was celebrating the culture of Hawaii and the fact that they have a lot of people the immigrated from other cultures, so there are many bi-racial people there. They weren't necessarily portraying black people (for instance, Laura was Greek and Mexican).

I totally agree with you. People throw the "racist" card around far too much for my tastes.

Also, I thought it was neat that Laura portrayed someone who was Greek and Mexican, because I actually know someone who is. :)

They're just in alphabetical order, but they almost look like call-out order, huh? Erin and Brittany were actually in the bottom two, believe it or not. I definitely thought Erin had a beautiful shot.

I agree, Erin has the best photo hands down. Her eyes drag you right in, while the others are only looking at the light.

i definitely agree about the headress doing most the work for her, i didnt like her in person, but her photographs are strong. she's got a good face. also agree about everyones photos except sundais... she is so fucking cute in PERSON but her pictures always look so silly or something.

i loved erin's photo, it was def the best. and GTFO SUNDAI. brittany was a million times better than her, in every way.

Erin's photo is hands down the best. She's actually connecting with the camera while the others are all looking towards the light.

Sundai has never been great, her photos are always so so, why are they keeping her? When Brittany sent home and they played slideshow of her pics I was like 'damn, girl definitely can model'.

Ironically enough I think they're keeping her in so it's not a final of white girls. that's pretty much racism, or rather, positive discrimination.

I think that has happened several times on this show. And while I can see how it might look bad, it looks worse to favor her.

This. It's Affirmative Top Model Action. We've seen it happen in a lot of cycles where mediocre black girls always got further than they should have because Tyra likes keeping her sistas around.
