I've just finished rewatching Cycle 8, and I was just curious: I always think the picture come o ut SO amazing, despite how ordinary the sets may be. Does anyone know how they transform the pictures? I've done tweaking and messing around with pictures in photoshop, but I just don't get how they can look so different. An example is when Jaslene and ( Read more... )

It takes a lot of time to learn how to edit photos to look realistic. It also takes quite a bit of time and money to do, as well as high-end graphics programs. I don't actually do any retouching, so I wouldn't be able to tell you how to do it, but it's a very long and expensive process that requires quite an extensive graphic arts background..

You do not need a high quality camera. You can get awesome photos from cheap $90 digital cameras now days.

If you really want to pursue it all you need is practice. Theres tons and tons of tutorials on the web that can make you as good as the pros. Although taking a college class or two does make it easier.

Good lighting and composition are always a plus for pretty photos but for the most part it all happens in post production. You can do a lot with photoshop if you know how but you can cool effects quite easily with programs like Adobe Lightroom Try the trial. Some examples of what can be done are herefree plug ins for photoshop - http://www.optikvervelabs.com/... )

Yes, the dairy industry tells a ton of lies to keep profits steady. Nonfat or not, if you take a moment to consider the amount of growth hormones in milk combined with the fact milk is made to make babies grow quickly..well there you have your answer. There is a reason we naturally stop drinking milk after the infant stages.

There's tons of info on the dangers of consuming milk, causing things like cancer, osteoporosis, obesity, etc - you just have to search for it.

"The National Dairy Council has a new campaign, “Healthy Weight with Dairy.” They tell you, “Watching your weight? Look to the fridge.” This is grossly irresponsible advertising to a gullible public, telling them that they will lose weight by consuming more dairy products. How did a food naturally designed to grow a cow from 60 pounds to 600 pounds become the weight loss miracle for the 21st century? The dairy industry does not limit their marketing efforts to low-fat products - the consumers are led to believe that cheese, ice cream, and whole milk can be ( ... )

A picture taken in terrible weather is actually more likely to turn out good, because of the exceptional diffuse lighting overcast skies give. When the weather is what you'd call "good" as in sunny with little to no clouds, that's when the lighting is the worst because it's a point source which causes the harshest shadows. Photographers have a completely different concept of "good" weather than the average person, haha. That's for sure.
