So I finally got to watch Cycle 5 (yeah, I'm supposed to be studying, but whatever) - and is it just me - but did Kim get a LOT of face time. It seemed like most episodes till 9 at least (I stopped there, girl's gotta sleep) she was constantly being interviewed, the camera would pan in on her etc ( Read more... )

Yes, I noticed that too. I think they choose a particular girl from each Cycle as the narrator. I know Elyse was the One from Cycle 1. As for the rest, um, I'm too tired and lazy to think. Perhaps Kahlen for Cycle 4. I don't know. They generally choose girls who are witty, eloquent, and/or smart.

yeah I notice that too. in cycle one it was Elyse I think. and then this cycle it was definitely Bianca, because obvs she LOOOOOOOOOOVES to talk. I can't stand to hear her talk. it's obnoxious :(

Ha, I know where you're coming from; cycle 5 is the one cycle I haven't caught up on yet. Random, but thank goodness for youtube.

OMG. I am so in love with you right now. C2 is the only one I haven't seen. I've caught up on the occasional episode from this season on YouTube, but I never thought to look for older cycles!

Here I sit on Friday night, bored out of my gourd with nothing to do. Then I read you post and think I wonder...

And now I am about to sit and catch up on C2. HUZZAH! *confetti*

Of course Kim got a lot of face time - most of the drama revolved around her, or at least INVOLVED her. The only one that I can think of that DIDN'T involve her was the Coryn vs Lisa incident. Even then Kim was able to throw in some comments about Lisa or whatever.

Keep in mind that the people with the most air time are the ones who have something INTERESTING to say (no brainer, really). And seeing as how Kim was such a smack talker, it's not surprise that she got lots of air time. After all, the personalities were kinda dull in cycle 5.

Speaking of personalities, though, I'm sure you must have noticed that Lisa had lots of air time as well. And I wonder why that would be. Hmmm

i think in cycle 8 renee got the most air time because she spoke well.. at least a lot better than dionne, natasha, and jaslene
