being an extra isnt that exciting... pretty much anyone can do it.

Haha, that's for sure! I'm a full-time professional extra, a job I got by showing up one day and saying "I want to be an extra". I was actually in Spider-Man 2 (and you can actually see me for about 2 seconds).

I'd be surprised if you'd be able to see Rebecca in the film unless she's featured. We drove past them filming in Madison Square Park the other day, and found the extra holding and they had about 100 there. Most of them get lost in the deep background or edited out all together.
