[One would think that now would be a time in which Souji allowed himself to look as tired as he feels. Talking to his teammates, his best friends, he ought to be able to let his guard down, he shouldn't feel the need to hide the bone deep ache currently dogging him

Alright, as you know, we have a truce in place with Adachi, and that aside from ourselves, only Schneizel and Valeria are aware of his true nature. He has been claiming not to remember Demeleier, or Inaba - as far as he was concerned, he'd only just been transferred.
[A beat:] Saki Konishi, one of Adachi's murder victims, is here. She contacted me recently about something that took place between herself and Adachi ( ... )

A lot of stuff's been going on... But what we should do next?
[Pause.
A lot of stuff has happened, and Teddie's been wondering...]
--I know this is kinda off-topic, but how're you doing, Sensei?

First things first, however:] For the time being, we need to hang back. If Saki and Sheik agreed not to take action, then so will we.

Could you promise me something?

Hm?

Just...promise that we can do something fun?

Mm. It's a promise.

And be careful, too! Adachi's a dangerous guy...!
[Souji knows that, of course, but Teddie still feels like he should say something. Like he can somehow keep Souji out of danger with a word of caution.]

[The words are weighty, but his voice is lighter than it was. Funny how Teddie always manages to give a little bit of hope.]

[Because if anyone close to him got hurt--like when Nanako had been hospitalized--he isn't sure what he'd do.
If there is one thing Teddie wants to make sure of, it's that events like those never transpire again.]

I'm glad you're here for me to rely on, Teddie.
