Which is very much the point. I'm glad to say that one thing I haven't heard yet, even after one of the less inspiring games, is an alleged expert offer the opinion that if only England had qualified they'd stand a very good chance of winning this tournament.

Of course, Scotland were at least entitled to say they'd beaten France and Italy in qualifying, except that's no longer looking like such a claim to fame...
