Occasionally Torygraph reporting rises to the standards of old - I thought the parting shot on that article was genius. Delia Smith’s shepherd’s pie recipe makes no mention of tomatoes.
"His brother, a chef, claimed a layer of tomatoes was not the appropriate way to finish off a shepherd’s pie, and responded by hitting him over the head with a shovel."
But clearly, wacking your brother over the head is an appropriate form of crticism. I must remember that!
