When Ianto was in Jack’s arms he felt safe. The demons of his nightmares would disappear when Jack kissed him tenderly on the mouth or forehead. To Ianto, tenderness was a sign that Jack loved him.
Despite the troubles they have been through, Jack was beginning to show tenderness more often when they were together. Some nights he just wanted to hold Ianto, even though he didn’t sleep much. Ianto didn’t seem to mind at all just succumbed to Jack’s request.
